The dreams last night were most peculiar. Visions of cities overrun not by vampires, but by clouds of striped mosquitoes, their drone drowning out human speech. A most unsettling metaphor for our modern age, where the greatest threats come not from supernatural evil, but from nature's smallest creations run amok in man's world.

Must prepare for tonight's demonstration at the Royal Entomological Society. Van Helsing intends to release his infected swarm before the members. God help us all if his calculations prove incorrect.
